Waffles

Crunchy, slightly sweet, and nutty waffles that are perfect with maple yogurt and a heaping mound of berries!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond or hazelnut flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 6 tbsp butter/oil melted
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs

Method
 

  1. Combine all-purpose, almond or hazelnut flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar into large batter bowl.
  2. In a large measuring cup, combine milk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and eggs; mix with whisk to break up egg yolks.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients using large whisk.
  4. Let stand for 5 minutes.
  5. Heat waffle iron to desired temperature and cook wafflesuntil golden brown on each side. Our typically takes about 5-6 minutes each withour waffle iron.
